Acts 435 – A Christian Charity that provides direct giving and seeks to provide fast, financial help to the people in need

About this , opportunity

Acts 435 is a giving website that allows people to give money directly to others, and 100% of what is donated via Acts 435 goes directly to those in need.

When so many people need so much help giving to charities and good causes can sometimes feel overwhelming and hard. Acts 435 puts people who want to help in touch with people who are in need, through a network of churches and local charities. Acts 435 enables virtual, online giving for specific needs.

100% of individual’s donations go directly to the person or people donors choose to support. All administration costs are covered by Gift Aid. Acts 435 provides direct giving and seeks to provide fast, financial help to the people in need.

Acts 435 runs through a network of churches and local charities who nominate an Acts 435 representative, called the Advocate, who is trained by Acts 435 and posts requests directly onto our website for people in their community who are in need.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does your church or local charity need to do?

Your church needs to nominate one volunteer, who we call the Advocate, who is the known contact for Acts 435 and will be the person who posts the requests for help onto the Acts 435 website for individual people in need – and then be responsible for ensuring the funds raised are spent for that individual on the item requested.  Items can include clothing, white goods, transport, carpets and more, limited to £200. We ask that you let your congregations know that you’re now partnering with Acts 435 and encourage them to give through our website

Are there any costs involved?

No, the organisation and administration of Acts 435 is funded entirely by Gift Aid reclaimed on applicable donations. Therefore, there are no costs incurred by the churches who partner with us, and 100% of donations go towards the direct need of the applicant.

What does Acts 435 provide?

Acts 435 provides training for the nominated volunteer, from the partner church (known as an Advocate). The training is online and takes around one hour to complete. Once completed Acts 435 provides that person with the login details and the support to get started. We can also provide ongoing support, and are on hand to answer any questions.

What is the role of the Acts 435 Advocate?

The role of the Advocate is to post requests onto the Acts 435 website on behalf of those who are directly known to be in need through ministries their church might run such as a food bank, debt advice, community café, job club or toddler group, or through referring organisations such as the local school or Citizen’s Advice. Some have used Acts 435 as a way to start connecting with people in need. Others use it alongside other ministries they already run to meet the needs in their community.

What is the role of the partner church/charity?

Acts 435 exists to serve churches and local charities as they help those in need. However, there are some expectations on our partner churches and charities to spread the word about Acts 435 with their supporters and congregations. We will provide you with literature and resources to be able to do this.

What is a Key Partner church/charity?

Some organisations are recognised as Key Partners and are shown as a yellow pin on our map. These partners make more extensive use of Acts 435, and also make a commitment to an increased level of engagement to the mission of Acts 435. Further information will be provided on partnering with us.
