Harlee’s Angels – Support for Parents who have experienced the sudden death of a child under 19 years

What is Harlee’s Angels

Harlee’s Angels is a charity which has been set up to offer assistance to the parents/guardians of a child up to the age of 19 who has died due to sudden death, accident or unexpected / undiagnosed illness residing in the Southampton and surrounding Hampshire area.

How and who can we help

  • We can provide financial assistance to families who are on a low income *
  • We can help with providing financial assistance with household bills and groceries, when the main earner is unable to work.
  • We can assist with funding private counselling.
Grief cafe

We know, from experience, that the death of a child is a traumatic experience, feelings of grief can be overwhelming for the whole family and even more so when the death is sudden and unexpected. They will not have had time to process the death or its reason, it can be difficult to take in or make sense of what has happened. There will be feelings of shock, disbelief and numbness and sometimes even denial and guilt.  These stages of grief can be exacerbated by the worry of paying for essential household bills and we hope that Harlee’s Angels will be able to assist with taking some of the pressures away with offering some financial assistance.
