The Art House Pop Up Pantry now on Fridays at Bitterne Railway Station

About this , opportunity

The Art House Pop Up Pantry brings pay-as-you-feel food diverted from becoming waste, donated nonperishable items, toiletries and menstrual products to the community. We pop up weekly at Bitterne Station Community Hub.

  • The pantry is open to all, you do not need to prove your income or need.
  • The food that is available and the quantity on offer differs week to week. We cannot guarantee we will have specific items, just pop along and see what we have!
  • Our crew are unable to provide support outside of serving you groceries, hot drinks and soup and having a simple friendly chat. If you require more support to access the pantry, please bring somebody with you who can help.

Folks are invited to top up their grocery shopping with fresh produce like, bread, snacks, cakes, tinned goods and other items on a pay-as-you-feel basis. Each week we get different items depending on what’s available, but pantry users are usually able to take away a bag of groceries to top up their food cupboards each week.

No proof of need is required and your privacy is always respected – just drop in and find what you need. We ask that you make a donation for your groceries if you are able to, but if you cannot, you do not need to pay anything – all donations made will go to supporting the project. Bring a bag if you can, although we usually have some.

The pantry is funded by our regular supporters, one off donations and a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund, please visit here to find out how you can help.

You can find the pantry on Fridays from 11am – 1pm at:
