Trustee

About this opportunity

The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally. At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Effective Trustee Board governance helps our volunteers deliver fantastic programmes that give young people skills for life.

Our Trustees see the big picture, make decisions and work together. As a team, you’ll ensure that everything’s being done safely and legally, as well as connecting Scouts with your local community. Not been a Trustee before – that’s fine. We’re all about providing new experiences and we’ll support you, making sure you learn everything you need to know, as you go.

Our Board of Trustees meets quarterly, usually on a Thursday evening for between 1 and 2 hours.

About 2nd Southampton Scouts

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Everyone’s welcome here – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we’ll help them find it. We are looking for people to help behind the scenes. You don’t need every skill to be an amazing volunteer – just the important ones. Contact us to find out more.
