David Family Foundation – what we fund
A grant-making charity that usually makes a significant number of small grants each year. Generally, small grants for under £10,000, are available to UK registered charities for a broad range of charitable purposes, including art, animal welfare, the environment, people with learning and educational difficulties, and women’s services.
The charitable objectives of the Foundation are:
1) Making grants and bursaries to other UK charities for the purpose of advancing education, art, culture and environmental protection, and relieving and advancing those in need by reason of disability.
2) Promoting art by making available gallery and studio space to artists and creating opportunities for artists to explore their creativity without boundaries at key stages of their careers.
3) Supporting people with learning and educational difficulties through existing charities.
4) Supporting research projects into the use of alternative and renewable energy sources, and
5) Supporting women’s services, young adults, homelessness and the social needs of older people.
The Trustees assess the impact of their funding by receiving reports from grantees and assessing their impact annually.

The Foundation’s annual accounts state that it has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.
Applications may be made at any time in writing. Trustees meet once a year on 31st May to review applications.
