Neighbourly – Connecting business and communities for social good

Where businesses help local good causes
Neighbourly is an award-winning giving platform that helps businesses make a positive impact in their communities by donating volunteer time, money and surplus products, all in one place.

Donating surplus to local good causes

We ensure your product surplus is put to good use in the community – whether it’s food and drink or toiletries, books and household goods. Work with a team of surplus redistribution experts, supported by a platform transacting thousands of donations every day.
We know that surplus food isn’t a long-term solution to poverty, but while as a country we waste 9.5 million tonnes of food every year, we believe we should be respectful of the world’s resources by diverting as much as possible to feed people in need.
Donating your surplus can change lives and we make the process simple for you. It’s all about getting your food surplus direct to the groups that can put it to good use. And importantly, the surplus is free for every local cause to use.
Neighbourly support the Southampton Social Aid Food Club.

Funding Support – Get help for your good cause, charity or community group

We can help you connect with businesses that have volunteer time, money or product surplus to donate. The first step is to create your free page and tell us what kind of help you need.
How it works
  • Create a page for your organisation on Neighbourly, adding surplus donations as one of your goals.
  • Add your FSA rating 3 or above and/or Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, dated within the last 2.5 years.
  • Our team will match you with stores in your area, or add your organisation to the waiting list.
  • You’ll receive a notification that surplus is available from your partner store. If you can’t collect, let us know and we can reallocate to save waste.
