Squirrel Scout Volunteers – 4th Eling Sea Scouts

About this opportunity

Bringing the ‘Wow!’ to our youngest Scouts, in a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment, the Section Teams make it happen for our Squirrels.

4th Eling Sea Scouts are looking to open a Squirrels group (Drey) and are looking for a team of volunteers to get the ball rolling.

In the Squirrels Team, you’ll be making our 4 to 6 year olds’ eyes light up with wonder on a regular basis.

If you’re interested in working in an Early Years setting, this is where you want to be. You’ll work as part of a team to pass on skills for life to our youngest section, while making sure the environment’s safe and keeping everything behind the scenes ticking over.

As a Squirrels Team Member, you might:

  • Read a story to the Squirrels
  • Build a den in the woods
  • Help a small group of Squirrels with an activity
  • Update badge records online
  • Work as a team to build a great programme of activities

Never been a Scout before? Neither have the Squirrels! Just come along ready for fun; it’s never too late to get involved!
