Breastfeeding Network Southampton Volunteer

The Breastfeeding Network Southampton offers infant feeding peer support to expectant, new and experienced families throughout postcodes SO14-SO19 including Princess Anne Hospital. We also administrate the Southampton Welcomes Breastfeeding Scheme.

We need the help of volunteers with a wide range of activities from providing knitted demonstration breasts, distributing flyers to businesses to join the Welcome Scheme to providing face to face peer support to families with infant feeding concerns.

At least once a year we offer a training course for those wishing to become breastfeeding peer supporter volunteers, the only entry requirements are some personal experience of lactating/breastfeeding, it does not matter recent your experience is & the commitment to volunteer for 1 year after you qualify.
