| Want to find out more about nature, whilst doing some light physical activity? Come and join in for our monthly Friday task day on the last Friday of the month. No previous experience necessary. All abilities are welcome, whether you’re a complete beginner or an expert. A full tool safety talk is also given at the start of each session. Examples of some conservation tasks: – Learning about invasive species like Holm Oak, IDing them and removing – Habitat control work: cutting back the copse to control brambles and prevent our meadow from turning into woodlands – Litter picking: The less litter there is the less likely people are to drop it!The reserve is run by our wonderful team of volunteers. We would not be able to manage without your help, and every act makes the site better. We appreciate all of you!Our tasks are always open non-members, but if you would like to help support Sholing Valleys financially and become a member, it’s very easy to join.
