Events Fundraisers for Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice

Fundraising volunteers help our events to run smoothly, ensuring they are as
successful as possible. Our fundraising events contribute to the £11.5 million we
have to raise each year to provide our services for free to Island people.

Event volunteering could be perfect for you if you want to give something back but don’t want an ongoing commitment.
It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and have a fun day out. Outgoing types will feel at home, and this might draw quieter souls out of their shells.

Tasks will vary according to the nature of the event but might include:

Welcoming participants and spectators to event sites and locations
Supporting the event manager with set-up and pack down of the event
Providing information to participants and spectators
Registering or checking-in participants
Collecting donations
Supporting participants around the event, such as marshalling, cheering or handing out refreshments.
Celebrating participants who cross the finish line and giving out medals and water

About Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice

Mountbatten Hampshire is an independent charity providing free care and support to people with life-limiting illness. We also provide free bereavement and psychological support to anyone who needs it. Our services include: Living – supporting you to be more comfortable with death, dying and bereavement. Dying – delivering expert and kind care, whoever you are and whatever your illness. Remembering – giving you ways to remember and celebrate the life of your loved one.
