Girlguiding Volunteers

About this opportunity

💙 Could You Volunteer with Girlguiding? 💙

Being a Girlguiding volunteer is about so much more than helping at a weekly meeting. It’s about inspiring girls to be confident, adventurous, and proud of who they are.

As a volunteer, you’ll:
✨ Make a real difference in young people’s lives
✨ Learn new skills and gain valuable experience
✨ Meet supportive, like-minded people
✨ Enjoy fun activities, adventures, and opportunities
✨ Be part of a community that helps girls thrive

You don’t need previous experience, and there are flexible volunteering roles to fit around work, family, and other commitments.

We are particularly keen to welcome new volunteers in the Bitterne, Bursledon, and Woolston areas, where we have growing units and exciting opportunities to support local girls.

Whether you can help every week or just occasionally, your time could help create unforgettable experiences and lasting memories for girls in your community.

About Girlguiding Southampton Itchen Division

With guiding, girls have fun, adventure and the space to discover their potential. They go to their first ever sleepover, canoe on rivers, learn about body confidence, and lead their own camp. Or sometimes they simply have fun and try new things with friends. Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. And to make a difference to the world around them.
