Kitchen Prep and Line Cook Volunteers

About us

Jefe’s Ramen is a Community Interest Company (CIC) on a mission to help feed the 382,000 people facing homelessness across the UK. We operate a “buy-one-give-one” model: for every bowl of high-quality ramen we sell to the public, we donate another hot nutritious bowl to someone experiencing homelessness.

To maximise our impact, we partner with independent local pubs on their quietest days, transforming their kitchens into lively pop-up ramen bars. This brings life back to struggling pubs, offers the community an affordable night out with a purpose, and funds meals for those who need them most.

Your Role:

Kitchen Prep: Helping prepare our signature, slow-simmered broths before the event

Line Cooks: Cooking and plating hot meals in the kitchen on event days

This role is part-time and you will only be required to work around the time of the event, which you will be given details about with enough notice.

So far, we have one event scheduled on Tuesday 17th November 2026, at Town Quay SO14 2 NY

We look forward to hearing from you 🙂

About Jefes Ramen

What we are A Community Interest Company running a Buy 1 Give 1 restaurant experience out of pub kitchens — starting in Stockport, designed for a national network. Guests pay for good ramen. That purchase funds a matching meal. The Crowdfunder — 382k Reasons — is the mission layer that funds kit, capacity, and growth. We work with local support partners carefully and only name them where the relationship is current.

Please note, whilst we do our best to keep information as up-to-date as possible, over time community services may change some details such as dates, times, and locations.
