Parkinson UK exist to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way.
We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. Campaigning for better health and care. Funding research into ground breaking new treatments. Running life-changing support services. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.
Getting a diagnosis of Parkinson’s affects everyone differently. Some people feel shocked or confused. Others feel angry or anxious. Some people feel relieved to have an explanation for their symptoms.
No matter how you are feeling, we’re here for you. We have a range of newly diagnosed resources to support you and your family, friends and others close to you.
You may also find it helpful if someone you know has been diagnosed. We have more information on supporting someone with Parkinson’s below.
Our groups are for anyone with a connection to Parkinson’s.
Meetings can be informal, with a chance to talk and discuss worries and experiences. Or some may include a presentation by an invited speaker, such as a healthcare professional. Many groups hold social events and activities too.
