| Supporting local communities to take action for nature The UK is home to some of the most incredible species on Earth, but it’s also one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. Let’s change that, together. Our £1 million Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund is here to help community groups across the UK to protect and restore nature in their local area. Whether you’re working together to plant community gardens, support local wildlife or anything else to help nature near you, we’ll give you £500 to kick-start your project. And, to boost your fundraising, we’ll give you £2 for every £1 you raise, to help your project reach its target quicker.* Apply now and get £500 when you go live. Thanks to your donations, the Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund has given over half a million pounds in match funding! That means we’re halfway to reaching the £1 million we’re giving to help community groups protect and restore nature in their local area. Apply now, and once accepted, we’ll give you £500 to kick-start your project. And, to boost your fundraising, we’ll give you £2 for every £1 you raise, to help your project reach its target quicker.* Together we can help communities across the UK bring nature back to life and make our isles wilder. To apply for the Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund, your project needs to be focused on taking action for nature in one of the following three ways: 1. Nature restoration – activity that boosts local biodiversity, by protecting or restoring habitats, creating space for nature, connecting green spaces and/or addressing activities that directly impact biodiversity. 2. Nature connectedness and pro-environmental behaviours – action that supports greater connection to nature and promotes pro-environmental behaviours at the community level that will benefit nature. 3. Community cohesion and connection – nature positive activity that encourages collaboration in the local community, by connecting people of diverse backgrounds, generations, and abilities to nature and one another. If that sounds like something you’d like to do, we’d love to hear from you. |
