Scouts Team Volunteers (11th Southampton)

About this opportunity

The 11th Southampton Scout Group is currently seeking enthusiastic team volunteers to help support our Scout section, made up of young people aged 10 to 14 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in your community while having fun and learning alongside the Scouts.

As a team volunteer, you’ll work closely with our experienced leaders to encourage, guide, and support Scouts through a wide range of exciting and educational activities. These include:

  • Cooking and outdoor food prep
  • Hiking and navigation challenges
  • Kayaking and water safety
  • Climbing and adventure sports
  • Camping and survival skills
  • First aid and emergency response
  • Fishing and nature exploration
  • …and so much more!

Whether you’re helping set up a campfire, cheering them on during a climbing session, or simply lending a hand with crafts and games, your presence will help shape confident, capable young people who are gaining skills for life.

No prior Scouting experience? No problem! We provide full training and ongoing support, so you can grow into the role at your own pace. Many of our volunteers say they’ve learned just as much as the Scouts themselves!

Meeting Time: Thursdays, 6:45 PM – 8:45 PM

If you’re friendly, reliable, and ready to embrace adventure, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you can commit weekly or just occasionally, your time and energy will be truly valued.

Come and join the adventure and help inspire the next generation!
