The Big Difference Team, led by Sanjay Mall have opened a low cost supermarket for those who are struggling financially. It works like a regular supermarket with bar codes scanned at the till so you can choose and buy whatever you need without limit. For example, tins are 50p, eggs are 70p, cut flowers are 50p. These food items are donated by local supermarkets whenever they have an excess and soon to expire products. It is conveniently based in Northam Community Centre and on Mondays, there is also a free cafe, offering breakfast, lunch and hot drinks from 9.30 to 12.30.
