SSAFA, which stands for the Soldiers’, Sailors’, and Airmen’s Families Association, is UK charity established in 1885. It is dedicated to supporting members of the armed forces, veterans, and their families in times of need. The charity operates through network of over 3,400 volunteers and professional staff, assisting more than 66,000 individuals each year. 

Services Offered

SSAFA provides wide range of services, including:
  • Welfare SupportSSAFA offers practical and emotional support to individuals facing difficulties, including financial assistance, housing advice, and access to healthcare services. 

    Transitional MentoringThe charity provides mentoring for those transitioning out of the armed forces, helping them adjust to civilian life and access necessary resources. 

    Specialist ServicesSSAFA also offers specialized support for specific needs, such as mental health services and assistance for families of injured or deceased service members. How to Access Support
