About Rose Road Association

Rose Road is a Southampton-based charity, established in 1952. We provide direct respite care services for disabled children and young people, often with complex physical and learning disabilities and care needs, and their families, in the city of Southampton and across Hampshire. We provide overnight short breaks at Oaks and Acorns, our CQC and Ofsted-registered respite centre. We also provide community outreach and at-home care, day services for young adults who have left education, run both on-site (The Hut) and in the community (Destinations), activities Clubs on weekends and during school holidays for children aged 6–19, filled with inclusive play and creative activities, and we facilitate SENDIASS, a free advice and advocacy service for families of disabled children and young people in Southampton and West Berkshire. As an events volunteer, you’ll help raise awareness and funds that make all of this possible—supporting local families and helping children and young people thrive.
