Every weekday:
- Southampton Day Services from 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday
- Southampton Day Service provides activity based community services for people in the City of Southampton and is in partnership with Woolston Community Centre, making use of the facilities during the week.
The service is set up to enable users to develop skills and confidence necessary to live as independently as possible; to enhance their status by providing relevant training and support, enabling informed decision making; and to provide a respite service from the home situation which will support parents and carers.
The aim of the service is to provide positive disability and mental health awareness within a supportive and enabling environment, with access to a network of opportunities and experiences in education, voluntary work, employment, recreation and leisure, both on site and in the wider community.
People are given the opportunity to improve & develop:- General health and well-being
- Confidence and self esteem
- Communication skills
- Decision Making
- Self Advocacy
- Personal Safety skills
- Self management skills – WRAP, etc.
- Access to alternative agencies and support groups
- Community skills
- Employment skills – Access to Integrated Employment Services and voluntary work
- Access to Community Learning and Adult Education
Activities currently on offer include; Sports, Art & Craft, Ceramics, Exercise, Gardening, IT, Sensory & Relaxation, and Photography, to name but a few. All the groups and activities available are identified and developed with service user needs, choice and aspirations in mind at all times.
Mondays:
- Zumba Class A personalisation of low, medium or high impact dance fitness. Original routines and ridiculous amounts of fun.

Tuesdays:
- Good Companions (group of older people doing table games, bingo etc. and lunching)
- The Good Companions are a group that meet on a Tuesday 09.00-14.00 for activities such as quizzes, bingo, chats, chair exercise, skittles and outings.
Each week costs £4.50 including refreshments and you can pay extra for lunch if desired. New members welcome – just come along - Chair Pilates & Mobility (60+) Price £8 per person

- Action for Happiness We meet every 3rd Tuesday of each month in person, at Woolston Community Centre, to do expert-designed sessions prover to help you:
– feel a sense of belonging
– get a positive boost
– discover new ways of action
– receive consistent support

Wednesdays:
- Playtots (mother and toddler group) We are a friendly playgroup at Woolston Community Centre. Feel free to bring along your under-fives for fun, games and a healthy snack. We have a wide range of toys for ages 0-4. These include, ride-on toys, trampoline, slide and see-saw, puzzles and games, sticking, painting, play-dough, dolls, dressing up, cars and trains, role-playing, books and a dedicated soft-mat baby area for the tiny tots.
Time: 9:30 am – 11 am on Wednesday mornings (term times only).
Price: first session £1.00 and £1.50 per session thereafter. - Children’s exercise class

Thursdays:
- Baby Sensory Classes
- Thursday Painting (small painting group meeting on 2nd and 4th Thursday morning)

Fridays:
- Thrive Club Walfinch Southampton are a home care provider who support people to live safely in their own homes. We provide a Thrive Club within the local community for people to attend for light Tia Chi exercise with a Tia Chi instructor to enable people to engage in light exercise standing or sitting to try and alleviate loneliness and for companionship.
There are refreshments served after the session and time for you to sit and enjoy others company.

N.B. St. Marks’ Church has historic rights to use the premises for meetings etc.
