In early July, Young Southampton announced three grants available as part of our collaboration with the NxtGen Academy and support for youth voice in the city. These grants directly address the recommendations of young people in Southampton and enable a you said we did mechanism for youth voice.
After review we have decided to return to REOI stage, (“Request for Expressions of Interest,”)

Grant Name: NxtGen Activation – Spaces for women with young families
Value: Single grant 15k, September 2026 – January 2027
Themes: This grant is in response to the NxtGen reesearcher programme and recommendations from the city’s young researchers, specifically recommendation 10: “We recommend that women with young families should have access to free or very cheap places to go where they can meet with other women and healthcare professionals to talk about mental health issues or other things that bother them. (There need to be creche facilities available.)”
Key dates: EOI deadline 23:59 Thursday 20th August with organisations advised of outcome and programmes to commence in September.
